Editorial policy
This policy explains how corivus.online is written, how we check what we publish, how we earn money and what we will not do. It applies to every article on the site.
Who writes
corivus.online is published by DOKTOR MONEY s.r.o.. Articles are written or edited by our responsible editor, Lisa Davis, who is named in the byline of each article and is accountable for what we publish. If someone else contributes to an article, we name them.
How we establish and source facts
- Primary sources first. For facts about a game, such as who makes it, which platforms it runs on, what it costs and how it works, we start with the developer's and publisher's own website, news pages and store listings.
- Cross-checking. Where possible, we check facts against a second, independent source such as a reference work or a platform store page. Where sources disagree, we say so or leave the claim out.
- Citing sources. Each article lists its main sources and the date we consulted them.
- Hedging honestly. If we cannot verify something, we say so clearly (“at the time of writing”, “check the official site”) instead of presenting it as fact. We do not publish statistics, player numbers, specifications or prices that we cannot source.
- Opinion is labelled as opinion. When we give a view, for example whether a game suits a particular player, we make clear that it is our assessment.
- Dates. Every article shows its publication or last review date. Free-to-play games change often, so the publisher's current information prevails over ours.
- Original visuals. Our illustrations and diagrams are drawn by us. We do not use game screenshots, logos or stock images that could mislead readers about affiliation.
How the site is funded
corivus.online is free to read and funded by partner (affiliate) links. If you follow one of these links and then register or buy something, the advertiser may pay DOKTOR MONEY s.r.o. a commission through an affiliate network. You do not pay more because of this.
We make this visible in several ways: a disclosure bar at the top of every page, a disclosure box at the start of every article containing partner links, a “Partner link” label on every partner button, and a short commission note under each one. Partner links have rel="sponsored". We do not sell display advertising, sponsored posts or paid reviews, and we do not use advertising trackers.
What we refuse to do
- Publish fake testimonials, invented “reader stories” or reviews presented as coming from real players.
- Invent ratings, star scores, rankings or “awards”.
- Create artificial urgency, such as countdown timers, “only today” claims or invented scarcity.
- Promise guaranteed results, winnings, rewards or outcomes.
- Claim or imply that we are the developer or publisher of a game, or that they endorse us.
- Hide that a link is commercial.
Independence from advertisers
Advertisers and affiliate networks do not write, review or approve our articles before publication and cannot buy a positive opinion. Whether a game is covered, and what we say about it, is decided by our editor. We describe disadvantages, costs and risks as well as positives. Commission rates do not influence which facts we include. If a commercial relationship ever affected an article in any other way, we would say so in the article.
Corrections procedure
- Send the page address and the problem to info@corivus.online, or write to us at the postal address in our legal notice. Sources help us check quickly.
- We aim to review every report within five working days.
- If we find an error, we correct the article and add a dated note to its corrections log describing what changed. We do not silently rewrite factual claims.
- If we decide no correction is needed, we tell you why.
We also review our articles regularly and update them when the game or its terms change.
